A driving license is essential. You will need to be able to travel initially to complete a full survey of the work required. We require you to be able to accept delivery and transport doors small and large.

We often fit large multi-panel bifold doors which you will need to accept delivery of and be able to transport to the customer’s house safely.

Proof of address

As part of the Value Doors ethos, trust and reliability is at the forefront so all our fitters are fully vetted and will need to provide full personal details including proof of address.

Having the right qualifications is essential to ensure that we provide all our customers with the best service. CESRTAS or FENSA registration is also required to ensure that out insurance-backed guarantees are valid.

At Value Doors we understand that people are at different stages of their life, however, we require at least some experience in door installation and replacement to ensure that we maintain the high standards expected by customers and suppliers alike.

Question about being an installer?

Fitters are responsible for fittings, fixings, trims, damp-proof membranes (DPM) and foam fills that the products would need.

Installers should be either FENSA certified or Certass registered to be fitting the doors. This is so customers know that the product being installed is done correctly and with quality. Fitters should also have a driver’s license so they are able to travel to jobs without issues.

Installers should have access to their own tools and transportation when doing jobs.

We offer fitters a competitive rates based on area, experience & travel.

Quite a fair bit of experience is required to be an installer to ensure that the work being done is high quality, meaning installers should have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

The way the relationship will work is that we will supply the doors to you, whilst you will install them, so you don’t have to worry about getting them yourselves.

Fitters should survey before the installation to make sure the dimensions of the frame and door match, whilst also looking out for any other potential problems that could occur on the job.

Installers will be responsible for uninstalling the old door and then disposing of it.

Installers will also be responsible for any cleanup after the job, making sure that they haven’t left any hazards and that the door is installed properly.

The doors we will provide you with to install are composite doors, aluminium bi-folding doors, French doors and patio doors.

Installers should have some past experience in fitting these kinds of doors so that there won’t be any issues caused when installing these types of doors in households.
